Trip from West Yellowstone to Cody, Wy and then on to Sturgis, SD

Here's a 2 day recap. Quite a bit happened over the past 2 days. On the trip from Twin Falls to West Yellowstone, we came into Grand Teton and Yellowstone through the south entrance. This time we tried to do as much as possible in 1 day. We first visited Old Faithful and got tired of waiting for her to erupt so we moved on to the Midway geysers. In the movie attached you can see some of the geysers in the background as I videoed some hot springs. From midway geysers we went to the Canyon where we hiked down the north rim. That was our exercise for the day. We also saw some wildlife such as bison, bull elks (another video), a white wolf and prairie dogs.

We saw such great views as we passed Fishing Bridge. The tough part of the trip was when we were leaving out the east entrance and 5 miles of downhill road were under repair as we rode down white sand.
Cody was a nice town. We first set on the Buffalo Bill Museum which is a 2 day pass. We only had an hour the first day and finished up today with 2 hrs. This has the largest firearms museum and display in the world.
Left from Cody to Sturgis after the museum. A great ride through the Big Horn National Park. Fantastic views and switchback turns. Nice views of the painted desert. Unfortunately the bike has been tired and with the high altitudes (over 10,000 feet) and high temps (100F) she overheated. After cooling down at a rest stop, we were able to ride over to a Harley dealer in Gillette, WY and had the oil changed. After another 40 miles, she overheated again. I guess it was still hot and I was pushing too hard. The winds were very strong which may have been a factor as well since we were going into a head wind. A storm was coming our way so after the bike cooled down again, we high tailed it to Sturgis just ahead of the storm. Tomorrow we see Deadwood, Mount Rushmore and downtown.
